SPRING & SUMMER ACTIVITIES


BIKING

You’ll find hundreds of miles of paved and off-road riding trails. Be prepared for adventure is you ride up or down hills at snow basin or test your endurance as you ride the scenic roads. As always be safe, & rubber side down.

HIKING

Bring your hiking poles, sturdy shoes and plenty of high-energy foods, because once you get started walking the hiking trail, you aren’t going to want to stop. Prepare for beautiful scenery, wildlife, and historic sites.

CAMPING & LODGING

There is 1 hotel and more than 60 campsites available across state parks and rec parks in Morgan County, and demand is high, so book in advance. There are Group sites, RV hookups, and tent sites available with more coming soon!

FISHING

You’ll have an incredible time fishing for a variety of fish on the rivers, creeks, and lakes, all while enjoying the serene surroundings. You may spot a few hawks and bald eagle at the same time. Always respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is their home.

RAFTING TRIPS

The Weber is home to world class rafting for the whole family. Traveling by raft is one of the most relaxing ways of enjoying the river. Move along the water at a gentle pace, enjoying the scenery as you go.

RIDING

Riding has been a part of our history since its designation in 1900. Horses riding experiences are an amazing opportunity to engage with nature and the local wildlife. Depending on the season wagon rides and sleigh rides are a must do on your bucket list.

BIRD WATCHING

You’ll find an incredible array of birds roaming freely around the county. Enjoy taking photos, and maybe you'll spot hawks, eagles, or a belted kingfisher. As always be sure to keep a safe distance, and respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is where they call home.

HISTORICAL SITES

Travel back in time and visit the historical sites in Morgan County. From the train depot, to pioneer cottages that have been preserved to historical trails originally used by settlers crossing the great west.

DARK SKIES

By night the park is an important source of darkness for stargazers and nocturnal wildlife alike, and park staff offer regular night-sky programs and outreach to visitors.
