FALL & WINTER ACTIVITIES
SKIING
Snowbasin lies at the edge of Morgan County and offers many activities year round. Snowbasin held many events for the 2002 Winter Olympics and offers world class skiing. There are gondola lifts to mountain top dining for a unique experience.
SNOW SHOEING
Bring your hiking poles, sturdy shoes and plenty of high-energy foods, because once you get started walking the hiking trail, you aren’t going to want to stop. Prepare for beautiful scenery, wildlife, and historic sites.
ICE FISHING
You’ll have an incredible time fishing for a variety of fish on the rivers, creeks, and lakes, all while enjoying the serene surroundings. You may spot a few hawks and bald eagle at the same time. Always respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is their home.
BIRD WATCHING
You’ll find an incredible array of birds roaming freely around the county. Enjoy taking photos, and maybe you'll spot hawks, eagles, or a belted kingfisher. As always be sure to keep a safe distance, and respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is where they call home.
HISTORICAL SITES
Travel back in time and visit the historical sites in Morgan County. From the train depot, to pioneer cottages that have been preserved to historical trails originally used by settlers crossing the great west.
DARK SKIES
By night the park is an important source of darkness for stargazers and nocturnal wildlife alike, and park staff offer regular night-sky programs and outreach to visitors.
